ND Medicaid Position

ND Medicaid is looking for a physician to aid them in developing new policies for medical and drug utilization. The physician would serve as a consultant to review and edit policy proposals prior to their release for public comment and discussion. This would be a part-time position with the expected time commitment to be up to 15 hours a week. UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND HEALTH SCIENCE, FAMILY & COMMUNITY MEDICINE

 Minot Center for Family Medicine Assistant/Associate Professor, Position #00015122

Salary: $200,000 – Full-Time

The University of North Dakota - Center for Family Medicine – Minot is seeking a full-time Physician who is American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) certified or eligible.  The chosen applicant will be an Assistant or Associate Professor.  The Faculty Member will work with the Program Director and other faculty to design and implement the educational program of the residency under the guidelines and directions of the Department of Family and Community Medicine of the University of North Dakota, School of Medicine and Health Sciences.  The applicant must be licensed to practice medicine in the state of North Dakota.  He/she will be responsible to the Program Director and to the Chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine.  Maintain an active clinical practice.  The program is fully accredited.

Physician - UND Student Health Services

Description: 

Student Health Services (SHS) is seeking a physician to provide primary care, within scope of said practice, with an emphasis on the prevention of illness, promotion of health and development of health maintenance to a diverse UND student population. As an interdisciplinary team, SHS is an interdisciplinary team of Advanced Practice Nurses, Registered Nurses, Medical Laboratory Scientists, and Radiological Technician, as well as a full billing and administrative team. This practice will support student retention and academic success and meet standards of care in compliance with professional discipline and the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) accreditation.

This position is 40 hours per week during both fall and spring academic terms. During the summer term (May 16-August 15), this position works a 50% schedule, typically one week on, one week off rotating schedule. Clinic business hours are 8am - 4:30pm, Monday – Friday, closed all major holidays and all campus closures. Rare evening or weekend opportunities may occur.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide quality patient care

Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

Other duties as assigned, including collaboration within the Grand Forks medical community and outreach education on the UND campus

Required Competencies:

Ability to communicate with individuals of diverse backgrounds

Ability to relate well to adolescent and young adult population; offer a sensitive, non-judgmental attitude

Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others

Experience in the use of an electronic medical records system

Strong keyboarding skills

Minimum Requirements:

Must be licensed/eligible for licensure prior to start date to practice medicine in the state of North Dakota as an MD or DO

American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) Board Certified or eligible

Have or willing to obtain Minnesota license to practice telemedicine

Have or willing to obtain senior AME state through the FAA

Eligible for federal DEA licensure

Current or able to obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire

Successful completion of criminal history background check

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years clinical experience in college health, family practice including sexual health, internal medicine or urgent care

Mental health experience

Leadership experience
